The CD captures the America of another period. It's like being in a time warp. Makes you want to time-travel back there. - Charlie, Accuracy in Media (CA)

So proud of your project. I want to buy a CD for a friend connected to the military. - Jane, National Childrens Advocacy Center, (AL)
America the Beautiful was simply gorgeous! What a wonderful way to start the CD project. Salute to the Armed Forces, performed by the Virginia Grand Military Band, was superb! The musical dynamics demonstrated by the band really captured the varied "movements" of the composition! I had to listen to it twice. Bravo! I would give them a standing ovation in person Using Auld Lang Syne as the final selection was a very poignant way to end the CD! BTW, when are you going to autograph my CD cover? - Arthurine, Artist (AL)
I
enjoyed it very much
what a successful project you came up with. - Paul, Professional Musician (VA)
I listened to the CD and it is super. The "Battle Hymn" is especially nice, but ALL are really good. You can't keep your feet still. They make you want to march. The whole CD was exceptionally done. Great job! - Suzanne (AL)
Great news! I've been playing this CD a lot and find myself marching uncontrollably around the house! The dog is puzzled but I am undeterred. Also, it seems to be fun to listen to while driving. I find myself listening to the march music this morning (ipod) as I work my way around campus. Another former military guy commented that I looked like I was marching in a parade! - Ray, Retired Army (NY)
Oh, I just put the CD on as background while I do email. Amazing!
Now we will add the Carlisle march in your honor [at the retirement ceremony]! So you will be with us in spirit and the music will certainly add GRANDLY to the day. We'll play the CD in the assembly room later as our guests enjoy a lunch. - Chris, Army Spouse (WA)
I've actually listened to the CD several times, since I keep it in the car. The Battle Hymn is one of my favorite pieces. I loved the lyrics that you wrote for your piece. Did you write them first or was the music written first? - Cathy, Music Teacher (MD)
..Thank you for the excellent CD. That was a remarkable achievement. - Don, National Guard Bureau (VA)

As for your CD, I have it playing in my car as I go to work and I have listened to it about three or four times. It is a great CD. It is sort of funny, I really like the piano number. The Carmon-Dragon number is one of my favorites to play, conduct, and listen to. This is a great CD, and you compiled a great group of musical selections. - Bob, Olde Towne Brass (AL)
Our listeners have responded very favorably to the stirring music on this production.
We'll continue to air the CD throughout this coming year. - Judy, Producer, Morning Blend, WLRH FM (AL)
the CD was great! I listened to it twice and think I will purchase a few as gifts for retiring Nurse Corps officers in my command. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. - Darwin, Active Duty Army (GA)
I listen to the music in the car
. I know someone who wrote a song. wow!!! - Bob, Creative Approaches Unlimited, Inc. (MD)
Thanks for sending it and congratulations on the CD project. Very big undertaking and I feel cool to know someone who can do these things. We have enjoyed the real US march music and the whole CD. There is a lot of music here but never anything remotely resembling the kinds of musical performances on the CD. It brings back Army and childhood memories for both of us to hear the marches and mens chorus singing. - Linnie, Africa Inland Mission (Uganda)
I visited a friend and
The most wonderful music was coming from the upstairs. I went up
and learned that the CD was the one you put together. It is wonderful and I would like to buy one. It made me feel so good to hear that wonderful music
- Alice (AL)
I gave Al and our friend Gary (my son-in-law's father) your CD for Christmas. They loved it! - Pam (TX)
I loved this CD. It contains a great selection of uplifting tracks, professionally executed. You don't have to be a graduate of the Army War College to find this a great addition to the family music library! - Shawn (VA)
Excellent piece of work. Sit back and view the included pictorial collections of the Carlisle Barracks while you listen to the most nostalgic music of remembrance of this great piece of history. - Luis (AL)
Close your eyes and listen. There is no American heart that cannot stir to these tunes - written when our great Nation was in the crucible - forging the steel that binds us. Everyone who has served this nation in uniform will want to listen to these tunes - and perhaps reserve a few for special occasions when they remember their days in service. New music is rare. New military music even more so - a gem to be shared. As a gift to veterans, a reminder to our youth of the stuff that we as a Nation still are made of, for Independence day, ceremonies, or as a special tribute to our fallen heroes - "Carlisle Barracks" is a unique gem for all American's music collections. - Del (MD)
This is a tremendous recording! I would definitely recommend this compilation of uplifting marches and patriotic music to anyone with ties to the Barracks or with a desire for professionally-performed military songs. With its creative blend of old and new music, the recording is entertaining yet inspiring. The stirring lyrics and majestic tunes of these grand songs are a reminder of the greatness of Carlisle Barracks, the USAWC, and our armed forces in general.- Amanda (PA)
What a joy and inspiration to hear the beautiful recordings on the Carlisle Barracks CD. I have passed it on to my son who is 14 and enjoys history and military music. We all applaud your efforts on making this a fine CD. - Greg (MD)
