About UsWish You Were Here, Inc.® was founded in 1996 in College Park, Maryland to pursue an entrepreneurial dream after completing graduate studies. An avid traveler, Cheryl studied the industry in order to help others achieve their dream vacations with peace of mind. She treats each request as though she were arranging her own nautical adventure somewhere new and exciting! Her goal is to find the best value for every cruise vacation. WYWH, Inc. takes pride in serving friends, referrals and new clients who also become friends. She has arranged cruise and land vacations for her clients to nearly every continent. Her many satisfied clients reside across the United States. Since moving to Huntsville, Alabama in 2005, Cheryl streamlined her part-time business to specialize in the cruise industry. She will find the right itinerary and cruise ship to help her clients decompress and eliminate stress!
About the President Cheryl is an active member of the HSV Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, The TN Valley Civil War Round Table (nominated for VP in July 10), and is a lifetime member of the following veterans' organizations: National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Reserve Officer Association (ROA), and the Huntsville Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). She retired from 26 years Federal Civil Service 30 June 2010. She volunteers as a motivational speaker for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadets (JROTC) in Northern Alabama High Schools. John and Cheryl are members of New Market United Methodist Church.

Cheryl McAuley has a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from West Chester Univ. PA. (1975), a Master of Public Administration from George Mason Univ. VA. (1996), and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, PA. (2005). Her own personal overseas travel began over 35 years ago, providing her many unique highlights and experiences. She highly values education and is a graduate of the Prince George's Community College Travel Services Program. Cheryl is also a Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) through the Institute of Certified Travel Agents (ICTA), Caribbean and Western European Destination Specialist (DS) through ICTA, Master Cruise Counselor (MCC) through the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA), and a Brit Agent through the British Tourist Authority (BTA). She has cruised to Alaska, Tahiti, Western Caribbean, Western Europe, Southern Caribbean, Hawaii, Canada, the Mediterranean and the Greek Isles.
She and John moved to New Market, Alabama in August 2005 and have retired there. They are a military couple and their hobbies include history, music, and golf.
